bred, hatched, raised and processed on our farm!

For the last 3 years we have been breeding and hatching many of our own hens. By breeding our all purpose flock to our farm bred Naked-Neck Rooster we have developed a bird that is hardy, alert and easy to process.

Active on pasture, they grow out for 12 to 16 weeks making them available to our customers from August through September. Their weights range from 2.5 to 4 pounds, they have a solid leg with a nice breast pocket of white meat and an open cavity for stuffing.  The meat is mild making it a versatile chicken; easily used for a roasting, stew, soup, grill, any favorite recipe.
